prison & jail Chaplain training
Chaplains who serve in prisons, jails, & juvenile detention centers have an incredible opportunity to reach the people who are incarcerated with the message of unconditional love of Jesus Christ. For the men, women, and juveniles within the prison & jail system, chaplains are a life-saving source of grace, mercy, and forgiveness. They serve in juvenile, state, federal, county, and private institutions across the United States. Chaplains also serve to influence and encourage guards and administrators.
This training is specialized to bring Chaplains, Law Enforcement, and inmates together to provide crucial training into the jail and prison system, to provide care and compassion to the people who are incarcerated.
Chaplains will explore the theoretical, operational components of chaplaincy and important training tools to use while learning from Chaplain David Johnson with real-world experience. Chaplains will learn how to function within prison & jail settings, such as learning how to communicate with people who are incarcerated & law enforcement, as well as receiving basic training in Lay counseling and crisis intervention.
